A webinar on the new Australian Priority Pest & Disease model (APPDIS) was recently presented by CEBRA to the Australian Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment. APPDIS models incursions, spread, detection, surveillance, treatment and proof-of-freedom for critical plant pests such as exotic fruit flies and environmental pests such as tramp ants and feral pigs.

The APPDIS modelling framework is described in Bradhurst R., Spring D., Stanaway M., Milner J., & Kompas T. (2021). A generalised and scalable framework for modelling incursions, surveillance and control of plant and environmental pests.
